Here is my latest logo and branding design for floral designer & event stylist Silvia, who does beautiful work for many weddings here in Tucson. We worked together to come up with a look that is pretty, elegant, and fits her style . I love the color scheme of magenta and gray that she chose, and I think this would look so pretty with some silver metallic accents on her print pieces. The alternate logo will make a perfect watermark or footer on her marketing collateral, and I loved looking through the gorgeous photos of her work for inspiration!
I recently worked on a project for Sparrow Music, a faith-based nonprofit organization bringing music instruction to children living in impoverished areas of developing countries. I only had to see the powerful images of their recent work in the Philippines to know that this is a group I would love to work with. Check out the newsletter and pledge card designs I created for their recent event:
Jazmine Leath, a life coach, was working on a relaunch of her website and contacted me for a design project.
Jazmine wanted a workbook for her readers to help guide them through some of her basic steps to creating success – she gives advice and a system for thinking through your priorities and finding a path that will lead to fulfillment.
I designed a cover with a soft watercolor background and coordinated that theme with the layout of the internal pages. The result was a design that worked with Jazmine's branding and is clear and organized for her readers. Check out Jazmine's website and her freebies page for the workbook!
I've been designing newsletters for businesses and organizations for many years. This year I've had several schools contact me for newsletter design, too - so often they've used the same dated Word template for many years, and they're looking for something more polished and professional-looking. Principals have contacted me for parent newsletters and newsletters for their staffs - I love working with them to come up with a design that fits the look of their school, much the way I would use a company's branding or identity to coordinate a business newsletter.
After working with Elaine McGhee, Working Mom Support Coach, for several months, I've completed the design of her book. We worked together to create a design in line with her branding, including searching for images, designing charts and graphics to visually represent concepts, and including a table of contents and references.
InstantThrive is a guidebook for new moms returning to the workplace. This book has practical tips and support to help moms maintain balance in all areas of their lives. The book is available in either a print or electronic version on her website, www.thrivemomma.com. She has been a pleasure to work with and I'm excited for her business in the coming year – I love her strategies for supporting women to be the best moms they can be!
